My Sitcoms!

I am a sitcom buff, I love watching funny, light hearted shows that make me smile, chuckle, giggle and laugh out loud. For some people, this is a waste of time. Whats the point of getting glued to the screen of wretched laptops and whiling away all the precious time? One can do so many interesting or precisely useful stuff instead of watching random stuff, or can they? In my experience, the idea of talking to someone, hearing them rant endlessly about their day is as unappetizing as rotten eggs. Some goes for the endless self-praise/advice/experiences and love story. For me that’s a torture. So yes, I unabashedly get glued to my laptop/TV and while away all the time in the world.

Here is a list of shows that has been on my top-viewed list for past 6 months.

Mellissa and joey

MELISSA & JOEY - ABC Family's "Melissa & Joey" stars Joey Lawrence as Joe and Melissa Joan Hart as Mel. (ABC FAMILY/ANDREW ECCLES)

I don’t know what is about this show that makes me love it but yes, it is my all-time fav. It has lots of eye candies, fashion wise it’s educational and most of all their banter is refreshing. How to tease someone, push their buttons and yet not cross the line is what makes this show a delight. The love angle is superbly non-nauseating and real.

New Girl

This show has got me super confused. Were the writers high when they wrote it? How do you get stuff like “it’s a sock for my penis, I call it pants” I mean! But yes, it is a stress buster on particularly mind numbing days. The girl is gorgeous in a totally not-hot-but-sweet way. There is a whacked out gang, an unusual love story and some emotions that pop out of nowhere. PS: a perfect show to enjoy on a Friday night.

The Big Bang Theory

the big bang

This one needs no introduction for it is one of the best shows ever. Every Thursday, without fail I get glued to it and I am not sorry. It has a top priority on a Thursday evenings and I love it. It’s like meeting my friends after a week and that helps me get through the day.

After all this time? ALWAYS!

Badi Door se AAye hai

badi door se aaye hai

Judge all you want but yes, I am a fan and  big one. No, I don’t candone that its an epic show or that it’s a flawless show or that it makes sense. It is just funny. The antics of the cast makes me laugh and it is a guilty pleasure.  The jokes are clean  slightly lame sometimes, the cast is pretty to look at and Sahil Sarabhai aka Sahil Sarabhai makes it a delight.

Tarek Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma

The one reason I like this show is that it is clean. You wont have to squirm or avert eyes if you watch it with family. Plus, I am a sucker for one-big-happy-family type shows. So yes, when my weekends include a TV, it is TMKOC.

  1. Awesome site you have here but I was curious if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?

I’d really love to be a part of online community where I can get opinions from
other experienced individuals that share the same
interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

    Many thanks!

  2. I think that everything published made a bunch of sense.
However, think about this, what if you typed a catchier
title? I ain’t suggesting your content isn’t good, but what if you added a post title that grabbed people’s attention? I mean My Sitcoms!
    – Aboardindia is kinda plain. You could glance at Yahoo’s front page and
see how they create article titles to grab viewers to open the links.
You might add a related video or a related picture or two to get people interested about everything’ve written.
Just my opinion, it could bring your website a little livelier.
